A Special Note from Ron Roper:
Greetings and Blessings to you in Jesus’ name. Jesus Is Alive! We serve a Living God! Think about that for a moment. A living God that has you in the center of His heart. God reminds us in the word that His promises are secure by the fact that He is the Living God. Numbers 14:21 * says, “But as truly as I live , all the earth shall be filled with the glory of the LORD.” Romans 14:11 says, “For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God.” When God made the covenant promise to Abraham, He could swear by no greater, so He swore by Himself (Hebrews 6:13). The very fact that He lives guarantees His word shall come to pass. Let me share a tremendous principle with you.
What God Says About Himself Will Come to Pass
As you study the word of God, I encourage you to find passages where God makes a promise about Himself. Passages like Genesis 26:24: “And the Lord appeared unto him the same night, and said, I am the God of Abraham thy father: fear not, for I am with thee, and will bless thee, and multiply thy seed for my servant Abraham’s sake.” Promises like Isaiah 45:3: “And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the Lord , which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.” Isaiah 48:17 says, “Thus saith the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.” I especially like Joshua 21:45: “There failed not ought of any good thing which the LORD had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass.”
God makes promises based on the unchangeable infallibility of His word and existence. Malachi 3:6: “For I am the Lord, I change not.” In Jeremiah 3:14, God said he is married to the back slider. That means that those who stray away, always have an invitation to come back to their heavenly Father. The word of God says that anyone who comes to God will in no wise be cast out (John 6:37). He will never leave thee nor forsake thee (Hebrews 13:5). In Exodus 15:36, God says, “I am the Lord God that healeth thee.” These are things that God says about God. Look at Isaiah 55:11: “So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.”
What Has God Said About Himself?
Let me give you another exceeding, great and precious promise. Numbers 23:19: “God is not a man, that he should lie, neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? Or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good? I want to repeat this again, “God makes promises based on the unchangeable infallibility of His word and existence.”
I appreciate the good things people say regarding what God can and will do for us; however, you and I can’t afford to place all of our faith on what another person says about God. We must also know what God says about God. What has God said about Himself concerning you, or your situation? Did he say in His word that He would help you? Heal you? Make a way for you? Save you? Forgive you? Bless you? The answer to these questions are Absolutely Yes! All of the promises of God in Christ Jesus are yes and amen, unto the Glory of God by us (2 Corinthians 1:20)! God receives the glory when his promises are fulfilled in, for and through us.
All Things Exist by God’s Word
His word is the infallible, unchangeable, rock solid truth that all things exist by. The whole universe continues to exist because God upholds it by the word of His power. The ocean cannot cover the earth again, because God said He would not allow it. Global Warming is not greater than what God has said. There is nothing we can face that is greater than God’s ability to overcome it. How do we really know this? God said it about Himself.
As believers, more than ever we must continue affirming, and confirming what God has said, not what the world says. This is not just mental assent or just mere positive thinking. This is the most powerful thing in our universe, God’s Word. We desire that you live in all of God’s fullness, and walk in more understanding of his love and power. Remember, it’s You, Reaching The World Through God’s Love And Power.
What is the desire of your heart? Is it God’s desire? Meditate on His word and your desire will be His desire. Ephesians 3:20: “Now unto Him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.” This verse means superior in quality, super abundant in quantity. You can do what God says you can do (Philippians 4:13). You can be what God says you can be (Mark 9:23). You are Blessed and have Favor with God and Man (Proverbs 3:4). You are In Him and Complete in Him (Acts 17:28; Colossians 2:10). Let me ask you, “Can you see it?”
Believe the Best, and Forget the Rest. Can You See It?
Begin to imagine what God can do in and through you this year. If you can think it, God can do exceedingly above it. I say this a lot, “Believe the best, and forget the rest.” I really mean that. Get your mind on what you want, and not on what you don’t want. What things are true, honest, just, pure, lovely and of a good report, think on these things (Philippians 4:8). When we do something, we usually say it, imagine it, and then do it. Take off the limits and imagine the greatness of God’s love and power to you. This is your year of Blessing. Can you see it? Imagine as much as you can, and remember, God will always take you farther.
Until next time remain in the Father’s finest.
Love in Christ,
Ron Roper
